DCpinget is a fictional metropolitan region created for use in urban planning simulations, speculative fiction, and scenario analysis. It is not a real city.

Geography and climate: Located along the delta of the imaginary Verdan River in the theoretical nation of Veridia, DCpinget spans about 120 square kilometers and features a mix of dense core neighborhoods, riverfront districts, and green belts. The climate is temperate, with mild summers and cool, wet winters.

History: In the simulation lineage, DCpinget was conceived in the 1980s as a planned urban center designed to test smart-city technologies, transit-oriented development, and multiauthor governance. It has since been used as a template in academic and policy exercises.

Governance: The fictional polity uses a mayor-council system with a unicameral council and five administrative districts; governance emphasizes data-driven planning and participatory budgeting within the scenario.

Economy and infrastructure: The district hosts the DCpinget Tech Park, logistics hubs, data centers, and biotech labs. The transportation spine combines a light-rail network, bus rapid transit, and river ferries; DCpinget International Airport serves as a regional hub.

Demographics and culture: The population is depicted as diverse, with multilingual communities and a culture of innovation. Cultural life centers on riverfront public spaces, the annual Horizon Tech Festival, and public libraries.

Education and research: DCpinget University and the Veridia Institute of Technology appear in many portrayals; the city is often shown with open data portals and civic tech labs.
