Cyphotilapia is a genus of cichlid fish native to Lake Tanganyika in Africa. The genus currently contains two recognized species, Cyphotilapia frontosa and Cyphotilapia gibbericeps. These fish are commonly known as "frontosa" or "fronties" in the aquarium trade. They are characterized by their distinctive humped forehead, particularly in males, and their striking blue and white striped coloration.
