Custodiere

A custodiere is a type of armored vehicle designed primarily for infantry protection and mobility in combat zones. Originating from the Italian word *custode*, meaning "guardian," these vehicles are often used by military and law enforcement forces to transport troops, provide cover during dismount operations, and engage enemy forces with integrated weaponry. Custodiere vehicles are typically based on modified commercial or military truck chassis, offering a balance between ruggedness and operational flexibility.

These vehicles are commonly equipped with ballistic protection to shield occupants from small arms fire, shrapnel, and sometimes improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
