Csontminséget is a Hungarian term that translates to "bone deficiency" or "bone scarcity." It generally refers to a condition where the bones are less dense or weaker than normal, increasing the risk of fractures. This can manifest in various ways and be associated with several underlying causes.

One of the most common causes of csontminséget is osteoporosis, a systemic skeletal disease characterized by low bone mass and microarchitectural deterioration of bone tissue, leading to enhanced bone fragility and a consequent increase in the risk of fracture. Osteoporosis is particularly prevalent in older adults, especially postmenopausal women, due to hormonal changes.
