Coerebids
Coerebids are a small family of passerine birds, known scientifically as Coerebidae. Historically, this family contained a much larger group of species, often referred to as "bananaquits" or "honeycreepers." However, recent taxonomic revisions have significantly reduced the number of birds officially classified within Coerebidae. The most widely recognized member of this family is the Greater Antillean Bananaquit (Coereba flaveola), a widespread species found throughout the Caribbean and parts of Central and South America.
