Chiffon

Chiffon is a lightweight, sheer fabric characterized by a soft, flowing drape. It is typically woven in a plain weave using highly twisted yarns, which gives the fabric a delicate texture and a subtle, pearly sheen. Silk chiffon is the traditional version, but many chiffons today are made from synthetic fibers, especially polyester or nylon, and sometimes from blends. A common variant is crepe chiffon, which has a crinkled surface produced by an extra twist in the yarns.
