Chamundaraya
Chamundaraya was a 10th-century Kannada writer, poet, and general in the Western Ganga Dynasty. He is most renowned for his epic biography of the Jain tirthankara Rishabhanatha, titled the Chamundaraya Purana, also known as the Trishashashthi-lakshana-purana. This work, completed in 978 CE, is considered a masterpiece of Kannada literature and is celebrated for its poetic quality and detailed portrayal of Jain teachings.
