Gomateshwara
Gomateshwara is a monolithic statue located in Shravanabelagola, a town in the state of Karnataka, India. The statue is a representation of Gommata, a yaksha (a nature spirit) from Hindu mythology. It was carved from a single block of granite and stands 58 feet (18 meters) tall, making it one of the tallest monolithic statues in the world.
