Centerfilled is a term used in computer graphics and design to describe a rendering style where the central region of a shape is filled with color or texture, while the outer area remains unfilled, transparent, or lighter. The concept is often employed to emphasize the core of a symbol, glyph, or icon without filling the entire region.

In practice, centerfilled can appear in several forms. In vector graphics and icon design, it typically means layering a solid fill for the center and optionally adding a border or transparent ring around it. In image processing or raster rendering, centerfilled patterns fill pixels within a specified radius from the shape’s geometric center, creating a disk-like core that may blend into a different treatment at the edges. In data visualization, centerfilled markers or symbols use a solid center dot or core with a contrasting outline or halo to draw attention to the center.
