A cachesimulationer is a software tool that models the behavior of cache memory systems to evaluate performance under different configurations and workloads. Cachesimulationer supports the analysis of memory hierarchy design by allowing users to configure cache parameters, including size, associativity, line size, replacement policy, and write strategy. It can model multiple cache levels (for example L1, L2, L3) and different cache types (data, instruction, or unified).
