CONMEBOL

CONMEBOL, the Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol, is the governing body of football in South America. Founded in 1916, it is one of FIFA’s six continental confederations and coordinates the activities of its member associations. The headquarters are in Luque, Paraguay. The organization represents ten national associations: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Its responsibilities include organizing continental competitions, supervising the development of football, overseeing refereeing and discipline, and liaising with FIFA on global football policy.
