CADmallit

CADmallit is a term used to refer to digital three‑dimensional models created for computer‑aided design (CAD) workflows. These models represent components, parts, or assemblies used in product development, engineering analysis, manufacturing planning, and documentation. CADmallit can be created with parametric, feature‑based CAD software as well as mesh‑based or scanned data, and they are commonly exchanged to enable collaboration across disciplines and organizations.

File formats and structure vary depending on the origin and use case. Native formats (for example, SolidWorks parts and assemblies, Autodesk Inventor parts, Creo or NX files) preserve parametric history and feature data.
