Butternaries

Butternaries are a type of plant species that belong to the family Zingiberaceae. They are native to tropical regions of Asia and Africa, where they are typically found growing in shaded, humid areas.

The butternary plant is known for its short stem and compact leaves, which resemble those of a banana plant. However, butternaries lack the showy flowers that are characteristic of banana plants.
