Boarddriven
Boarddriven is a governance term describing an organizational model in which the board of directors assumes a central, guiding role in strategic direction, policy formation, and major resource commitments. In a boarddriven system the board sets objectives, defines risk tolerance, approves significant expenditures and strategic initiatives, and provides oversight, while management carries out operations and implements plans. Routine decisions may be delegated to executives, but the board retains ultimate fiduciary accountability and can intervene when performance or alignment with mission warrant.
