Bayonetta

Bayonetta is a video game series developed by PlatinumGames and published by Nintendo. The series centers on Bayonetta, an Umbra Witch, who battles infernal and angelic forces using firearms, magic, and her hair, which can transform into demonic entities. The gameplay is characterized by fast-paced, stylish combat, often referred to as "character action" or "hack and slash." Players are encouraged to chain together elaborate combos and utilize dodges to create devastating attacks.

The first game, simply titled Bayonetta, was released in 2009.
