BECers refers to individuals who engage in Business Email Compromise (BEC) scams, a type of cybercrime targeting businesses through deceptive email communications. These scams often involve impersonating high-level executives, vendors, or trusted partners to manipulate victims into transferring funds or sharing sensitive information. BEC attacks have become increasingly prevalent due to their relative simplicity and high success rates, with attackers exploiting human trust rather than technical vulnerabilities.

The term "BECer" is a colloquial shorthand for someone involved in conducting these scams, though it is not an official classification. These individuals may operate alone or as part of organized cybercrime groups, often targeting organizations across various industries, including finance, healthcare, and technology.
