Azrous
Azrous is a town located in the Middle Atlas mountain range of Morocco. Situated in the Ifrane Province, it is known for its distinctive red soil, which gives it its name (Azrou meaning "rock" or "stone" in Tamazight). The town is a popular destination for both Moroccan and international tourists, particularly during the summer months when the cooler mountain air offers a respite from the heat of the lowlands.
The economy of Azrous is largely based on agriculture, with significant production of apples, pears, and walnuts.
