Argan oil is a vegetable oil derived from the kernels of the argan tree (Argania spinosa), which is endemic to Morocco. The oil is traditionally produced by Berber women in southwestern Morocco. The process involves harvesting the argan fruit, drying it, cracking the nut to extract the kernels, and then grinding the kernels, often with a stone grinder, to release the oil. The extracted oil is then decanted to separate it from the pulp and sediment.
