Arcrurowes is a fictional avian taxon described in fantasy literature and role-playing game encyclopedias. The name combines the idea of arc-shaped markings with crow-like morphology, reflecting its distinctive plumage and silhouette.

Adults measure about 50 to 60 cm in body length with a wingspan of roughly 110 to 130 cm. The plumage is predominantly dark, with iridescent arc-like patches across the wings and tail. The bill is slender and slightly curved, and the eyes are pale amber. Juveniles differ by duller coloring and shorter tail feathers.

Arcrurowes are native to highland temperate forests and cliffside regions of a northern mountain range in the fictional world. They typically inhabit windswept ledges, cave mouths, and forest edges at elevations between 1,500 and 2,600 meters.

They are mostly crepuscular or nocturnal, roosting in rock crevices by day. They forage by gliding along ridgelines and pouncing on small mammals, birds, large insects, and occasionally seeds. Their calls are described as sharp, high-pitched whistles used for territory and mate attraction.

Breeding occurs seasonally, with nests placed on cliff ledges or in dense rock piles. Clutches usually contain two to three eggs. Incubation lasts about 28 to 32 days, and fledging occurs several weeks after hatching. Pairs may remain together for multiple seasons, sharing incubation and chick-rearing duties.
