Arbetsmiljögränsvärden

Arbetsmiljögränsvärden, often abbreviated as AMG, are legally binding limits for exposure to substances or conditions in the workplace that can pose a risk to health. These limits are set by the Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket) and are designed to protect workers from adverse health effects caused by exposure to hazardous agents. The concept of AMG encompasses various types of exposure, including chemical substances, physical agents like noise and vibration, and even ergonomic factors.

The primary purpose of arbetsmiljögränsvärden is to establish a safe working environment. When a substance or condition exceeds its designated AMG, employers are legally obligated to take measures to reduce the exposure to acceptable levels.
