Aranyérkezelések refer to the various medical and non-medical interventions used to treat hemorrhoids, commonly known as aranyér. These treatments aim to alleviate symptoms such as pain, itching, bleeding, and swelling associated with enlarged veins in the rectum and anus.

Conservative treatments often form the first line of defense. These include dietary changes to promote softer stools, such as increasing fiber intake and staying well-hydrated. Warm sitz baths can also provide relief from discomfort. Over-the-counter medications, including topical creams, ointments, and suppositories containing ingredients like hydrocortisone or witch hazel, are frequently used to reduce inflammation and itching. Pain relievers can also be employed for symptom management.

For more persistent or severe cases, minimally invasive procedures may be recommended. These can include rubber band ligation, where a rubber band is placed around the base of the hemorrhoid to cut off its blood supply, causing it to shrink and fall off. Sclerotherapy involves injecting a solution into the hemorrhoid tissue, which causes it to scar and shrink. Infrared coagulation uses heat to harden and shrink the hemorrhoid.

In situations where conservative and minimally invasive methods are insufficient, surgical options may be considered. Hemorrhoidectomy is the surgical removal of hemorrhoid tissue. Other surgical techniques like stapled hemorrhoidopexy are also available. The choice of treatment depends on the type, severity, and symptoms of the hemorrhoids, as well as the individual patient's overall health and preferences.
