AnyLogic

AnyLogic is a multimethod simulation software platform used to model complex real-world systems in domains such as manufacturing, logistics, supply chains, healthcare, transportation, and urban planning. It supports three modeling formalisms—agent-based modeling, discrete-event simulation, and system dynamics—and enables hybrid models that combine these approaches within a single model.

The environment is Java-based, offering a visual, drag-and-drop modeling interface complemented by Java code for custom behavior and logic. AnyLogic provides built-in libraries corresponding to different modeling needs, including the Process Modeling Library, Agent Library, and System Dynamics Library, as well as industry-focused libraries for Manufacturing & Logistics, Supply Chain, Healthcare, Transportation, and Pedestrian dynamics. Agent behaviors can be described with statecharts and action flows, supporting complex decision logic and interactions.

Models are presented with 2D and 3D visualization capabilities and can integrate geographic information systems (GIS) for spatially aware simulations. AnyLogic supports data integration through databases, file imports, and web APIs, enabling data-driven experiments and validation. The platform includes experimentation and analysis tools such as simulation experiments, parameter variation, optimization, and sensitivity analysis, along with stochastic and statistical capabilities to quantify uncertainty and variability.

Deployment options include exporting standalone Java applications and publishing models to the AnyLogic Cloud, which supports collaboration, scalability, and remote execution. This makes it suitable for analysis, design, and decision support in both academic and professional settings.
