Aneurysmbehandling refers to the medical treatment of an aneurysm, which is a bulging or ballooning in a weakened section of a blood vessel. The primary goal of aneurysm treatment is to prevent rupture, which can lead to life-threatening bleeding. Treatment options depend on several factors, including the size, location, and type of aneurysm, as well as the patient's overall health and the risk of rupture.

One common treatment approach is endovascular repair. This minimally invasive procedure involves inserting a catheter through a small incision, typically in the groin, and guiding it to the aneurysm. A stent graft, a fabric-covered tube, is then deployed within the aneurysm to reinforce the weakened wall and redirect blood flow away from the bulge. This prevents further expansion and reduces the risk of rupture.
