Anatoolia

Anatoolia is a fictional parliamentary republic located on the eastern coast of the continent of Valoria. It is bordered by the sea to the east and by the states of Eldara to the north and Miranth to the west. The national capital and seat of government is Solmere.

The name Anatoolia is derived from an ancient term for dawn and a regional suffix used in historical toponyms, reflecting the country’s tradition of sunrise ceremonies.

The country occupies rolling coastal plains that rise into forested hills inland. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and warm summers, and several major rivers provide hydroelectric power and irrigation. Coastal harbors support fishing and trade.

Anatoolia grew from a loose federation of duchies and free cities in the medieval period and was unified as a constitutional republic following a peaceful reform in 1953. The modern constitutional framework reinforced civil liberties and the rule of law.

It is a unitary parliamentary republic with a president as head of state and a prime minister as head of government. The legislature is bicameral, comprising the Senate and the Assembly. The judiciary is independent, and regional councils administer devolved powers.

The population is about 7.2 million. Ethnic Anatoolians form the majority, with minorities including Eldarites and Miranthans. The official language is Anatoolian; Eldaran and Miranthan are also spoken. The state is secular and freedom of religion is protected.

Anatoolia has a diversified mixed economy with services, light manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism. Key exports include wine, timber, and electronics. The country maintains a modern transport network, high literacy, and comprehensive public health systems.

Literary and musical traditions are prominent, with coastal cuisine blending seafood and inland dishes. National festivals, such as the Dawn Festival, are observed nationwide.
