Aluminiumverbundplatte, often abbreviated as ACP, is a composite material consisting of two thin aluminium sheets sandwiching a core of polyethylene or other plastics. This construction results in a lightweight yet rigid panel with a smooth, durable surface. ACPs are manufactured through a continuous lamination process where the aluminium sheets are bonded to the core material under heat and pressure. The aluminium surfaces are typically coated with a protective layer, such as polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) or polyester, which provides resistance to weathering, corrosion, and UV radiation, and allows for a wide range of colors and finishes.
