Alignmentbringing is a term used to describe the process of bringing diverse elements—goals, systems, processes, and stakeholders—into coherent alignment with a shared objective. It is not a formal discipline but a descriptor used in discussions of organizational design, systems engineering, and AI governance to characterize coordination activities that produce consistent outcomes.

As a concept, alignmentbringing encompasses activities that identify objectives, map components and interfaces, and coordinate behaviors so that actions across a system support the intended result.

Common methods include articulating explicit objectives, creating reference models that show relationships, establishing governance mechanisms, and employing feedback loops and metrics to monitor deviations and re-align as needed.

Applications appear in multiple domains. In AI development, alignmentbringing describes efforts to align system objectives with human values; in product development and operations, it covers aligning requirements, delivery processes, and team incentives; in policy, it addresses aligning rules with stakeholder incentives.

Key challenges include ambiguity in goals, conflicting incentives, measurement difficulties, and changes in context that require ongoing re-alignment and adaptation.
