Akryylipastellin

Akryylipastellin is an art medium that combines pigment with a water-based acrylic binder to produce a pastel-like material. It is designed to be used in sticks or slabs that resemble traditional soft pastels but dry to a more durable, acrylic film.

The typical formulation consists of finely ground pigment dispersed in an acrylic polymer emulsion, sometimes with minor additions such as wax or binders to adjust texture. The material can be applied dry like a pastel or slightly wetted to alter flow; once dry, it forms a flexible, water-resistant film.

Artists use akryylipastellin for direct drawing, layering, and blending on paper, canvas, or prepared boards.
