Acetont

In the human body, acetont is a natural byproduct of metabolism, particularly during the breakdown of fats. It is present in small amounts in blood and urine. Elevated levels can indicate certain metabolic conditions, such as diabetes. While generally considered to have low toxicity, prolonged or excessive exposure to high concentrations of acetont vapor can cause irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat, as well as central nervous system depression.
