It lies in the eastern seas of the imagined continent of Elaria and comprises about sixty inhabited islands connected by ferries, bridges, and inland waterways. The capital is Lyria, and the largest city is Kareth.

The main island, Grath, features a central mountain spine with valleys and a rugged coastline of sheltered harbors. The climate is temperate maritime, with mild winters and wet summers. Lowland deltas and mangrove zones support diverse ecosystems and fishing grounds.
