3DVIA is a software platform developed by Dassault Systèmes, a French multinational company specializing in 3D design, engineering, and manufacturing solutions. Originally introduced in 2007, 3DVIA was designed to bridge the gap between 3D modeling and web-based collaboration, enabling users to share, visualize, and interact with 3D content across various platforms and devices. The platform was particularly notable for its ability to render complex 3D models in real-time on standard web browsers, eliminating the need for specialized hardware or software.

At its core, 3DVIA consisted of several key components, including 3DVIA Studio, a tool for creating interactive 3D experiences, and 3DVIA Shape, a web-based 3D viewer that allowed users to explore and manipulate 3D models directly in their browsers.
