Ælfthryths
Ælfthryth (also spelled Ælfflæd or Ælfthryth of Worcester) was an Anglo-Saxon noblewoman and abbess who lived during the late 10th and early 11th centuries. She is primarily known for her role in the political and ecclesiastical conflicts of her time, particularly her association with the controversial figure Æthelred the Unready, King of England from 978 to 1016.
