výlisu

Výlisu is a term used in Czech manufacturing contexts to describe a part produced by stamping (punching) sheet material with a die. The more common term for the part itself is výlisek; výlisu appears as a declined form and is sometimes used in technical writing or colloquial speech to refer to the piece or set of pieces.

The production process involves shaping or cutting the material by pressing a die and punch combination in a press. The sheet material, typically metal (such as steel or aluminum) or plastic, is positioned between a male punch and a female die. The force materializes as a shaped part (the výlisek) and a scrap piece (the slug or waste). The process can be performed in a single operation or in multiple stages, depending on the complexity of the geometry.

Materials used for výlisy range from metals to plastics and composite sheets. Metal parts may require secondary operations such as deburring, stamping, or surface finishing. For complex geometries, progressive dies with multiple stations enable efficient high-volume production.

Design considerations include tolerances, burr control, and tooling wear. The quality of a výlisu depends on punch and die condition, press stability, and proper lubrication. Tooling costs are typically high, making the method economical for high-volume production but less suitable for small batches or highly customized parts.

Applications of výlisy span automotive components, electrical housings, consumer electronics enclosures, and packaging inserts, among others. The technique is valued for high accuracy, repeatability, and low unit costs at scale.
