Vákuumformázás is a manufacturing process used to create plastic parts from a plastic sheet. The process begins with a sheet of plastic that is heated until it becomes pliable. Once softened, the plastic sheet is stretched over a mold. A vacuum is then applied, which draws the plastic tightly against the mold's surface, conforming it to the desired shape. After the plastic cools and solidifies, it is released from the mold. This technique is versatile and can produce a wide range of products, from simple packaging to complex automotive components.

The tools used in vákuumformázás, known as molds, can be made from various materials, including wood, aluminum, or even 3D-printed materials, depending on the production volume and required precision. The vacuum pressure is crucial for achieving accurate detail and a strong bond between the plastic and the mold.
