Vyhodenie is a Slovak noun that denotes the act of removing someone from a place or position, or the loss of something through throwing out. In common usage it chiefly refers to the termination of employment (firing someone) but can also describe eviction from a dwelling or expulsion from a club, school, or competition. The term is built from the verb vyhodiť ("to throw out") with the noun-forming suffix -enie; the prefix vy- signals outward movement.

In the employment context, vyhodenie zo zamestnania refers to losing a job. In Slovakia, termination of employment is governed by the Labour Code and can take place by notice (výpoveď), by mutual agreement, or for reasons such as organizational changes or redundancy.
