Voksenform is a term used in biology, particularly in Danish-language texts, to denote the adult, sexually mature form of an organism. It contrasts with juvenile, larval, or nymphal stages, which may differ markedly in appearance and lifestyle. The concept is most relevant for organisms that undergo developmental changes, such as insects, amphibians, and some marine invertebrates.

In entomology, voksenform typically refers to the final adult stage that has reached reproductive capability. This stage follows metamorphosis from larval forms in holometabolous insects (for example butterflies, beetles, bees, and moths) and from nymphal stages in hemimetabolous insects (such as grasshoppers and true bugs). In holometabolous species, the adult often looks very different from the larva, while in hemimetabolous species the resemblance between juvenile and adult is stronger but still involves changes to reach the voksenform.

The term can also apply to other vertebrates and invertebrates where metamorphosis or distinct developmental pathways lead to a clearly defined adult phenotype. In these contexts, the voksenform marks the onset of sexual maturity and a shift in life-history traits such as reproduction, behavior, and habitat use.
