Virtsaansa is a term used in ecological sanitation to describe a urine-trap component within urine-diverting toilets, or UDTs, that directs urine away from feces and into a dedicated collection system. The name combines Finnish virtsa meaning urine and ansa meaning trap.

It features a sealed receptacle and an anti-backflow mechanism, sometimes a siphon, to prevent fecal cross-contamination.
