Vesilähtöisyys is a Finnish term that translates to "water-starting" and refers to the act of starting a motorboat or personal watercraft (PWC) from a submerged or partially submerged position. This is often done in situations where the vessel cannot be launched conventionally from a ramp or trailer.

The primary method of vesilähtöisyys involves using a winch or a specialized trailer designed to pull the watercraft out of the water and onto land.
