Vesikiertoon is a Finnish term whose literal meaning is "into the water circulation." In general usage it denotes processes involving the movement or distribution of water within a system, and it occurs in both biological and environmental contexts. Because Finnish scientific writing emphasizes descriptive phrasing, vesikiertoon is not a fixed technical term with a single definitional scope; its precise sense depends on the surrounding text.

In physiology, vesikiertoon commonly appears as a way to describe the movement of body water among fluid compartments, such as plasma, interstitial fluid, and intracellular fluid.
