Valuesensitivity, also written as value sensitivity, is the capacity of a person, organization, or system to recognize, interpret, and respond to the values—moral, social, cultural, or practical—that are implicated in a decision, design, or action. It is used as a lens in ethics, information systems, public policy, and organizational decision making to ensure that value implications are identified and treated explicitly rather than assumed.
