Utvecklarläge, literally “developer mode” in Swedish, is a special configuration on many digital platforms that unlocks advanced settings and diagnostic tools not normally available to regular users. The term is most commonly associated with smartphones, computers, and firmware, where it allows developers, testers, or hobbyists to examine low‑level system behavior, monitor API calls, run debug builds, or install unsigned applications. Enabling utvecklarläge typically requires a sequence of user actions such as tapping version numbers, entering a code, or toggling a setting in the device’s system panel. Once active, the interface may provide additional menus, logs, and options—such as USB debugging on Android, developer options on iOS, or the Unchecklist in Microsoft Windows.
