Töörihmaterjal refers to the various materials used in the construction of industrial belts, commonly known as conveyor belts or transmission belts. These materials are chosen based on their specific properties to withstand demanding operational conditions such as abrasion, tension, heat, oil, and chemical exposure.

A primary material is rubber, particularly synthetic rubber compounds like neoprene, nitrile, and styrene-butadiene rubber. These offer excellent flexibility, resilience, and resistance to various environmental factors. Fabric reinforcement, often made from polyester, nylon, or aramid fibers, is frequently integrated into rubber belts to enhance their tensile strength and dimensional stability. This fabric, known as the carcass, provides the structural integrity to support the load and resist stretching under tension.

Plastics, like polyurethane or PVC, are also utilized, offering advantages in terms of chemical resistance, low friction, and ease of cleaning, making them suitable for food processing or specialized conveying applications.
