Tuvalet is the Turkish term for a toilet or restroom, used to describe both the room and the fixture intended for urination and defecation. In Turkish, it is one of the standard words for sanitation facilities, distinct from banyo (bathroom) and lavabo (sink). The word is widely understood across Turkish-speaking communities and is commonly seen on public signage.

The word tuvalet is borrowed from the French toilette, reflecting the influence of Western-style sanitation during the 19th and early 20th centuries. In daily usage, the term has become neutral and ubiquitous, used in homes, workplaces, and public spaces.

Public and private facilities are typically labeled tuvalet or wc on doors and signs. Many public places separate facilities by sex, although some modern buildings use gender-neutral signage.
