A touter is a person who touts, or aggressively promotes, a person, product, service, or idea. In general usage, a touter is someone who tries to attract attention or persuade others to buy or support something, often by loud or persistent promotion. The term can function as a noun (the touter) or as a derivation from the verb tout.

In sports betting, a touter typically refers to a person who offers paid tips or betting recommendations to others, sometimes promising guaranteed results.
