Synthetizable is an adjective meaning capable of being produced by chemical synthesis or other deliberate construction, as opposed to occurring naturally without human intervention. In materials science, the term applies to polymers, inorganic solids, and nanomaterials that have reliable preparation methods. In biology or metabolic engineering, a target molecule produced by a designed pathway may be described as synthetizable if the pathway can be implemented to yield the product.

Limitations: The label does not guarantee ease of access. Yields, selectivity, cost, safety, environmental impact, and scalability influence actual feasibility. Some theoretically possible molecules remain synthetically inaccessible with current knowledge or technology.
