Statistikda is a Turkic-language term used to refer to the field of statistics, or the practice of statistical analysis, typically translated as “in statistics.” In languages such as Kazakh, Turkish, and Uzbek, the suffix -da marks location, giving statistikda the sense of “in statistics” or “within the field of statistics.” In English, the corresponding phrase is simply “in statistics” or “the field of statistics.”

Statistics is the science that deals with data collection, organization, analysis, interpretation, and presentation. It encompasses methods for describing data (descriptive statistics) and for drawing conclusions about a population from a sample (inferential statistics). Core concepts include variables, measurement scales, distributions, central tendency, and variability.
