Skattejagt is a game in which players search for hidden objects or a cache by following a sequence of clues. The term is Danish for treasure hunt (skat = treasure, jagt = hunt). The activity is typically played outdoors, but can also be organized indoors.

In a typical skattejagt, players form teams and receive a starting clue that leads to subsequent locations. Each location yields a new clue, a puzzle, or a task that must be completed to obtain the next clue. Clues can be riddles, maps, photographs, code phrases, or physical tasks. The route is designed to lead to a final cache containing a prize or a description of the treasure. Many runs have a time limit and basic safety rules; organizers may provide maps, station markers, and adult supervision for younger participants.

Skattejagt is used in various settings: children's parties, school activities to teach geography, history, or problem-solving, and corporate events focusing on teamwork. Variants include theming (pirates, detectives), or location-based formats. A modern analogue is geocaching, which uses GPS coordinates to locate containers hidden by players; though geocaching often relies on GPS rather than step-by-step clues.
