Siimaleikkuri is a Finnish term that translates to "line trimmer" or "string trimmer" in English. It is a portable garden tool used for cutting grass and weeds. Typically, a siimaleikkuri consists of a long shaft with a cutting head at the bottom and a handle at the top. The cutting head contains a rotating head that spins a length of nylon or similar plastic line at high speed. This rapidly moving line cuts through vegetation.

Siimaleikkurit are commonly used for trimming grass in areas that are difficult to reach with a lawnmower, such as around trees, garden beds, fences, and along walls. They are also effective for clearing overgrown areas and cutting down thicker weeds.
