Shkaktues is a term used in Albanian-language horticulture to refer to members of the plant family Cactaceae, commonly known in English as cacti. Shkaktues are a diverse group of succulent plants adapted to arid environments. A defining feature is the presence of areoles from which spines grow, and thick, fleshy stems that store water.
