Resonanssitomografia, commonly known as MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), is a medical imaging technique used to visualize internal structures of the body. It utilizes strong magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed cross-sectional images. Unlike X-rays, MRI does not involve ionizing radiation.
The process begins with the patient lying on a table that slides into a large, tube-shaped magnet.
MRI is particularly useful for imaging soft tissues, such as the brain, muscles, ligaments, and internal organs.
