repasting
Repasting is the process of removing old thermal interface material (TIM) from the surface of a heat-generating component, such as a CPU or GPU, and applying fresh TIM before reinstalling the heat sink. The goal is to improve heat transfer between the component and the cooler, reducing temperatures and preventing throttling.
